The band is a traditional big band (17 musicians and two vocalists) located in Olney, Maryland who is dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of classic big band music. The band encourages new generations to listen and dance to music played by the big bands of past and present. Incorporated in the state of Maryland in 2004, the Olney Big Band is a 503 [c] 3 tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization of big band music lovers, including artists, teachers, arrangers and fans. The band plays for dances, concerts, fundraisers, weddings, parties, etc. and has appeared at The Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Blues Alley in DC, the Strathmore Music Center to name a few. Crow Entertainment, LLC is a full time, full service and fully insured DJ solution for Maryland and the east coast. We have provided DJ services at over 3100 events since 1997. We are members of the Bay Business Group, ADJA and AMAEA. These organizations promote ethical business practices and are also a resource for professional DJs. The Bay Business Group supports small businesses in the community.
We are one of many small businesses in Maryland and the only full time/employee based DJ service in Southern Maryland. Add to that, we are a small and tight group. We do not want to become a large organization as this would not benefit our clients. We like to meet face to face and have that connection. You will never be treated like a number. You will find that we are very patient and ready to serve.

Our music selections are at your disposal. We stock a legal music library that covers the 1920's to today's hits. Some of our DJs beatmix music and deliver a performance style approach while mixing today's hits and old school favorites together. Be specific about the kind of atmosphere you want and we'll make sure you get it.
The information on this site gives us a travel limit of 10 miles. However, we are a full time service and have served in many places outside of Maryland and in some cases, in the mid west. We don't have a travel limit. We will go where we are needed.
We strive to leave a positive lasting impression on each client. You can expect a low key to moderate approach with your wedding without the cheesy or obnoxious songs you don't want to hear. Believe us! We know what they are. You can expect fun and professional with any event you book us for.
By being full time, we can cater everything to your schedule. We can be prepared for each event and feel fresh on the day of ready to go. In other words, your event is not something we do on the side. You definitely get what you pay for. However, at least we explain what that is when we meet. You will be impressed at the questions we ask you as well as how we assist you with your own questions. We are very thorough.
We have been the recipient of the Wedding Wire's Bride's choice award twice; once in 2010 and in 2011. We've also received the 2010 Best of weddings from the Knot.com. In 2010 we received the Calvert's best of DJs award. Just recently, we received the 2011 Thumbtack Elite Service Award. Our team thoroughly enjoys what we do and hope to continue making a difference in our industry and most of all, our community.
