Dave Johnson has been entertaining large corporations, small businesses and organizations for most of his life. His client list includes several Fortune 500 companies, their founders, politicians, celebrities and legislature.
Convention Magician represents and entertains companies at holiday parties, award ceremonies, hospitality suites, cocktail parties, trade shows, grand openings, product launches, sales meetings and other events.
The types of shows Dave presents are:
Strolling Shows
Having a cocktail party or hosting a hospitality suite? "Close-up" magic or magic that is more intimate is a great way to entertain small groups of people whether standing or sitting around a table. When the magic is performed "right under their nose" it has a deeper impact on the audience. This is very effective for getting your message across and saying thank you to a prospective client or your company.
Stand up and stage shows
When you are in need of someone to represent your company (trade shows, vendor's fairs and product kickoffs) or to entertain your company (luncheons, award ceremonies, holiday parties and fundraisers) all at once, Convention Magician, Dave Johnson is the right choice. The Department of Defense describes Dave's show as "a perfect mix of magic, mentalism, patience, and humor." Whether your audience is 15 or 1500, Dave Johnson will make your company look even more amazing than it already is.
European style magic show
This is the most unique type of performance to have at an event. At the European style magic show, the guests are brought into another part of the venue and shown magic that is done up close. This creates a "mini theatre" type of effect with several shows throughout the event and up to about twenty audience members per show. The European style magic show is only done for events that can accommodate this type of a set up. This can be in another room or a sectioned off part of the venue.

This is a pretty good summarization of the presentation that Dave Johnson brings with his Magic And Comedy.
Owner of the website itself (MagicAndComedy.com... okay I know that isn't a true accolade but I have to take all I can get), Dave Johnson is the guy who gets laughs where there shouldn't be any. With his expert sleight of hand, the audience is normally warmed up to him before the show and yelling "yay" when he hits the stage. Whether he is guerrilla-style performing magic for celebrities or being interviewed on the radio, internet and TV, Dave is an entertainer who is gaining exposure and not the bad kind.
Imagine your audiences reactions when he apparently predicts the future, apparently reads people's minds and apparently uses certain words too often. Now imagine the customized entertainment that Dave gives each and every crowd including yours (if you book him that is. But you'll call... he knows it.)

We are members of the Clowns of America International, and both Raynbow and Goofy Grape are graduates of the UW LaCrosse's famous Clown Camp program. We offer balloon twisting (Raynbow's specialty), face painting (Goofy Grape and Trudy's specialties), clown magic (Raynbow again), and classic clowning including clown skits (all of us).
One of our distinctive elements is audience participation - and lots of it! Whether it's a birthday party or special event, we involve everyone in the act - including the parents and grandparents!
Everyone needs to smile, and it's our job to see that it happens as much as possible.
