World Hello Day
Today is World Hello Day! Started in 1973 in response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel, this secular holiday is now celebrated around the world as a way to promote peace. Through a simple hello and other holiday activities, participants encourage leaders to use communication instead of force to settle disputes.
While greeting someone may seem like an insignificant act toward achieving global peace, these small actions can have a big ripple effect and influence others around you. To celebrate, say hello to ten people (especially people you don’t know!), or personalize a thoughtful digital Just Because card to say hi to someone you haven't talked to in a while.
