World Autism Awareness Day

On World Autism Awareness Day, autism organizations around the globe celebrate with unique, powerful fundraising and awareness events. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a complex developmental disability with symptoms first appearing during early childhood. It can affect a person's ability to communicate and interact with others.

Did you know that an estimated 1 in 68 babies born in the United States will have some form of autism? There's no better time to get involved with awareness campaigns in your community and beyond.

One such campaign is Light It Up Blue, which encourages people to show their support in simple but meaningful ways—from wearing blue to illuminating an entire office or school in blue. Show your own support for the global autism community by using the hashtag #LIUB to share your experiences, stories, and thoughts.
