Today's Reason to Celebrate

June 23, 2017 is

Public Service Day

Happy Public Service Day! In 2002, the United Nations declared the first annual Public Service Day. The purpose of this day is to recognize the contributions made by public servants all over the world. Today is the perfect day to organize a volunteer project for this summer. Every little bit helps! Every little bit helps!

There are many causes worth fighting for in your local community, your state, your country, and the world. Whether you volunteer at a local food pantry, clean up a park, or visit at a nursing home, the opportunities are endless! Volunteers are always needed in schools, nursing homes, churches, and beyond – so be sure to get your friends and family on board too. Remember, every act of public service, no matter how small, can make a difference!
