Today's Reason to Celebrate

November 15, 2025 was

National Day of Philanthropy

Today is National Philanthropy Day, an annual observance that offers an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and recognize financial donations, non-monetary contributions, volunteer support, and other charitable activities.

In 1986, US President Ronald Reagan proclaimed November 15 as National Philanthropy Day to recognize the spirit of philanthropy. Since then, communities around the world have celebrated the day by recognizing individuals and organizations that aim to make the world a better place.

To celebrate National Philanthropy Day, volunteer at a nonprofit, make a charitable donation, or take a moment to thank a volunteer or nonprofit employee in your community.
