Director of Marketing

Punchbowl, the new gold standard in online invitations, is looking for a Director of Marketing to lead the marketing team and to create comprehensive marketing and communications initiatives across multiple platforms in support of the company’s goals. Punchbowl is located in Framingham, MA, and provides a fun, casual, and innovative environment for our employees where hard work is recognized and rewarded. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Marketing team which manages all consumer-facing communication, acquisition and engagement campaigns for Punchbowl including paid search, SEO, ASO, social media, email marketing, display, and beyond.
  • Create comprehensive marketing plans aligned with yearly and quarterly company goals.
  • Own the Punchbowl brand (look, feel, voice) and ensure consistency across all channels (on-site, email, social, etc.)  
  • Lead message development for large campaigns that span multiple channels (press, email, social).
  • Oversee extensive brand licensing program that includes Disney, Nickelodeon, Sanrio, Sesame Workshop, etc.
  • Manage press outreach for significant company announcements.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow the business, such as key partnerships and exploration of new channels.
  • Keep up to date on new platforms and technologies, particularly as they relate to app marketing.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years working in digital marketing at a consumer-internet company or marketing agency.
  • Solid grasp of SEM, SEO, affiliate and other user acquisition tactics
  • Metrics driven, use data to solve marketing problems and find new opportunities
  • Extreme attention to detail, proven ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, self-driven and independent.

Who You Are

As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will be working with the systems operations and development teams to manage and improve the highly available web infrastructure at Punchbowl.com.  You will be responsible for automating tasks, end-to-end deployments with Chef, enhancing the monitoring of key systems (Nagios), enhancing our ELK-based performance metrics and data aggregation tools, and troubleshooting application issues in production.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with the development team to improve our Ruby on Rails applications and services.  You will be required to participate in an on-call rotation.  Our team values uptime, stability, scalability, and reliability – and by joining our team you will have the opportunity to learn and and apply new technologies to meet these needs as we grow.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu)
  • 2+ years of scripting Bash, Ruby, and/or Python
  • Experience with configuration management (Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience with database administration (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Familiarity with web application development and deployment (HAProxy, Nginx, Nagios, Rails, Git, CI/CD, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Punchbowl.com is seeking to add a very experienced Rails developer to our team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience using Rails to build consumer-facing web applications. He or she also considers themselves a full stack developer and is able to take on projects that include both back-end and front-end development.
