Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve user engagement (conversion and retention) on our site and apps, working closely with the User Acquisition Manager.
  • Lead the direction of Punchbowl’s email marketing and push notification programs.
  • Orchestrate all press announcements and outreach.
  • Conceive and execute compelling seasonal marketing campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing program strategy, management, and execution.

Who You Are

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working with the systems operations and development teams to manage and improve the highly available web infrastructure at Punchbowl.com.  You will be responsible for automating tasks, end-to-end deployments with Chef, enhancing the monitoring of key systems (Nagios), enhancing our ELK-based performance metrics and data aggregation tools, and troubleshooting application issues in production.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with the development team to improve our Ruby on Rails applications and services.  You will be required to participate in an on-call rotation.  Our team values uptime, stability, scalability, and reliability – and by joining our team you will have the opportunity to learn and and apply new technologies to meet these needs as we grow.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu)
  • 2+ years of scripting Bash, Ruby, and/or Python
  • Experience with configuration management (Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience with database administration (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Familiarity with web application development and deployment (HAProxy, Nginx, Nagios, Rails, Git, CI/CD, Jenkins)

Analyst, Strategic Partnerships

Responsibilities: 

  • Become a key member of our Revenue/Finance team and help drive incremental opportunities across the business
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with a diverse set of strategic partners across various channels (advertising, licensing, data etc.)
  • Identify and explore new revenue and optimization opportunities, provide recommendations to management team
  • Understand the business requirements of key partnerships and collaborate with internal teams to make them happen

Associate Manager, Finance & Operations

We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Finance & Operations person to add to our team. We're looking for someone that loves numbers, and is very strong at Excel. Your role will traverse between finance and operations, and you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide business and financial reporting. To do this, you’ll need to understand the basics of financial statement analysis, including the ability to create pro forma financial reports.
  • Use analytics to solve business problems.  Work directly with Senior Management to drive higher traffic, higher top-line revenue, and greater profitability. 
  • Work together with finance and accounting to implement best practice processes into our monthly financial cycle.
  • Analyze data to provide metrics and performance reports for weekly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual goals.
  • Forecast ad inventory, report on display ad campaigns for insight and analysis.
  • Act as the central point person for internal reporting around key business metrics and financials.
  • Supervise and manage a Business Analyst, oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Requirements:

  • Deep experience in Excel and proficiency with financial statements
  • Experience building financial models, manipulating data, and extracting insights from data
  • Advanced proficiency with Intuit QuickBooks and Google Analytics
  • High-level of comfort with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Extreme attention to detail, self-driven and independent. Deadline-oriented.
