Over thirty five years of work and one half million dollars have resulted in the creation of a magnificent Garden which blooms from Spring to Fall and a 5,000 square foot event center. The Gardens have hosted dozens of weddings over the years and references are available on request. Very reasonably priced catering is available on site. The Gardens of Sunshine Hollow offer beautiful flowers and scenery throughout the season from April thru October. Over 1750 varieties of perennial flowers plus thousands of annual flowers offer floral displays that vary depending on their bloom seasons. Our garden wedding site is situated in the middle of 160 acres of unspoiled forest where the Gardens, Forest, and a two acre sparkling lake serve as the backdrop. Behind the wedding pergola is a large raised backdrop of roses, daylilies and other annual flowers plus several shepherds’ hooks of hanging baskets. The main wedding area is a half acre lawn which slopes gently toward the wedding arch with the lake as a backdrop. The lawn itself is the world's finest lawn grass "Meyer Zoysia" and is like a green carpet under your feet as it leads down to the wedding arch. Chairs for the wedding party can be set up for up to 225 people to make a gentle amphitheater for the wedding event. A good view can be had by each attendee. Weddings that are held after 4:00 P.M. also take advantage of the fact that the sun sets early behind the hills that form the Hollow so the wedding site is in shade. Sunshine Hollow can furnish power for music players or instrumentalists. Other extras are available for a nominal fee.
Indoor weddings or Receptions in our heated or air conditioned Ball Room can be held at any time of the year. You may have your Wedding at Church and come to The Gardens for a wonderful themed Reception as we permit decorations in the Ball Room. Service of BYOB alcohol is also permitted with certain stipulations. We also permit access to the facility the day of the event for decorating and pictures beginning at 8:00 AM. There is one acre of parking on site and seven restrooms for your guests. We also provide shuttle service from the parking area for drivers to the venue.
The reception venue is surrounded by our beautiful shade gardens as well as 100 hanging baskets and planters filled with annuals and ferns. Our 4000 square foot Ball Room is big enough to seat 225 guests and still have room for dancing and other activities. We specialize in home-cooked buffet meals prepared fresh right in our commercial kitchen adjoining the Ball Room. We also offer an Hors D'oeuvres-type wedding reception with your choice of many hot or cold selections. Our Wedding/Reception venue rental is all inclusive. It includes all rental fees for Wedding Ceremony Chairs, Reception guest tables, linens, and chairs, a gift/registration table and a table for the Bridal party. We permit photography by appointment both before and after the Wedding/Reception date for no extra charge. A two hour rehearsal may be scheduled the day before depending on other events scheduled. Other extras and upgrades are available for a nominal fee.
