Matt Douglas Founder & CEO

Matt Douglas is the Founder & CEO of Punchbowl, and has led the Company from inception to profitability. Matt has raised three rounds of venture capital from Intel Capital, Contour Ventures, Launchpad Ventures and other prominent angel investors. In addition, he negotiated and closed a strategic investment and multi-year commercial relationship with Party City Holdings, Inc. (PRTY) and an exclusive licensing relationship with The Walt Disney Company (DIS). Matt has 20+ years of experience in software and mobile technology, with expertise in team building, product vision, and creative marketing. Prior to Punchbowl, Matt held Senior roles at Adobe Systems and Bose Corporation. Matt has a degree in music from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill. Blake Carlson CTO

As Punchbowl's CTO, Blake Carlson puts his passion for Ruby on Rails to use to develop innovative web technology. Prior to leading the development effort on Punchbowl, Blake worked at TotalView Technologies creating software tools for multi-threaded/multi-process high performance computing applications. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa, and hails from West Des Moines. Blake's favorite reason to celebrate is the Super Bowl, although he also loves Groundhog Day (it's his birthday!).


Stephanie Fader COO

As COO, Stephanie Fader heads up day-to-day operating activities for Punchbowl. Stephanie has 15+ years experience in marketing and business development. She’s held several key roles at the company, most recently leading all revenue generating activities. Prior to joining Punchbowl she managed marketing for Lesley University and The Louis Berger Group. She graduated with honors from The George Washington University with a Bachelors in Business Administration and has an M.S. in Communications Management from Simmons College. Stephanie always enjoys a good costume party and Halloween is her favorite reason to celebrate.

Tom Trometer CFO

Tom Trometer is the CFO of Punchbowl, responsible for financial strategy and business planning. Tom has over 25 years experience in financial management for both publicly traded and privately held companies. He was previously employed at Price Waterhouse where he worked with startups and venture-backed companies. He went on to be the VP Finance of Opta Food Ingredients and the CFO of CableSoft. Tom is a CPA with a B.S. in accounting from Canisius College. His favorite reason to celebrate is life itself and the joy of living it.


Ariel Faulkner-O'Brien CMO

Ariel Faulkner-O'Brien is the CMO of Punchbowl and leads the team responsible for marketing, creative, and content. She joined the Punchbowl team in 2011 and has overseen user engagement strategy, product launches, mobile app marketing, and strategic partnerships during her tenure. Before joining Punchbowl, Ariel managed marketing and communications for Learning Express. She is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall and has an M.A. in English Literature from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Ariel's favorite reason to celebrate is Christmas – she and her husband host an annual holiday movie watch-party.
