She received her BA in Music Education/Vocal Emphasis from Saint Xavier University in Chicago in 1981. She has sung professionally in Chicago, is featured on several recordings, and continues to perform at weddings, both in an ensemble and as a soloist. Michelle has experience performing with traditional keyboardists, guitar, harp, and a capella.
She was invited by the Archdiocese of Chicago to participate as a vocal instructor in the Church Cantor Program. Ms. Mayer now lives in Peoria, Illinois; she teaches privately and is an active music director and conductor.
