Formed in 2007, the original quartet quickly picked up steam and hit the central-Iowa bar scene with full force. With a show full of energy and a songlist that you can't help but sing along to, Plastic Apartment keeps the crowd singing and dancing all night long. After a three-year hiatus and a lead singer lost to the East coast, the guys are back and ready to rock once again.
No stranger to regular gigging, Plastic Apartment served as the house band at Cy's Roost in Ames, IA from November 2008 through May 2009, playing every Thursday night. Having cultivated a strong following in Ames, Plastic Apartment expanded into Des Moines and other parts of Iowa. After a short time exploring other parts of the world, three original members have returned to Iowa and added a new vocalist to round out the lineup. With a strong songlist, a playful stage presence, and a high energy show, Plastic Apartment would make a perfect addition to any venue's lineup.
The band also plays special events, and has appeared at Ames on the Half Shell, Relay for Life, and Dance Marathon, as well as graduations, high school reunions, charity events, and college events.
