  • Invitation: Invite friends and family to join you to learn how to craft a beautiful, homemade wreath for the holiday season. Send a festive, online holiday invitation to get started. Include the date, time, and video platform that you plan to use to host the event. It's advisable to keep the guest list relatively small, no more than 6-8 people. You need to make sure that you can guide people through this activity and can field questions without getting too distracted.

  • Supplies: Once you gather RSVPs, send a message to people who plan to participate with a list of supplies they will need. Include links so they can easily purchase everything online in advance of the party. Supplies include a basic wreath to serve as a base for the project, floral wire, a hot glue gun, beads, buttons, and other baubles. Anything small can easily be incorporated into a Christmas wreath to give is a unique feel. Other holiday wreath ideas include fake ivy, dried flowers or berries, ribbon, candy canes, feathers, and mini ornaments. Let your creativity shine through your projects!

  • Craft Together: Once party time arrives, make sure everyone is on the video call and ready to make their wreaths. Walk guests through the wreath making process step by step. Make sure to give people time to ask questions and share what working or not working for them.

    TIP:
The best way to assemble your Christmas wreaths is with the help of either floral wire or a hot glue gun. Use the floral wire to secure items by wrapping it around the wreath or glue decorations directly onto the front so that they don't stick out all along the wreath.

  • For the kids: If you'll have little ones at your virtual party, encourage them to make their own add-ons for your DIY wreaths. They can draw and color snowmen, Santa, or other holiday designs and then cut them out to go on their wreaths. Paper snowflakes are another simple option when making Christmas wreaths. If you’re not afraid of a little mess, bring in some glitter or metallic paint to make your DIY wreath really sparkle!

  • Take a pic: Once everyone has finished making the wreaths, have guests hold up their masterpieces and take a picture. If your video platform doesn't have a photo capturing feature, simply take a screenshot of your call. Be sure to share the photo with everyone after the party!
A virtual wreath making party is a fun way to get friends and families together before the holidays. Not only will party guests be thrilled to have a beautiful homemade wreath, they'll also be grateful for a fun, unique way to spend quality time with loved ones!
