Pink Fizz: A pretty-in-pink Mother's Day cocktail to make any mom feel tickled pink.
Ingredients:
- 3 tsp. simple syrup
- 12 fresh mint leaves
- 3 ounces fresh lime juice
- Crushed ice
- 8 ounces vodka
- Cranberry juice
- Champagne or sparkling wine
Muddle syrup, mint and lime together in a shaker. Add ice, vodka, 1/8 cup cranberry juice and shake well. Pour mixture into four champagne glasses, evenly and top off with champagne or wine. Garnish with mint.
The Orange Marmalade: Of all the Mother's Day cocktail recipes, this one packs the most punch, but is a great addition to any celebratory brunch.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces Gin
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce Campari
- 2 spoons orange marmalade or jam
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake well. Strain over your cocktail glass and serve chilled with a lemon wedge as garnish.
Peach Apricot Bellini: A Mother's Day recipe for the girl's-girl mom, this pretty pale drink tastes good all day around.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup peaches sliced, peeled and pureed
- 1/4 cup apricots, sliced, peeled and pureed
- Champagne
Pour both purees into glasses and slowly add Champagne. Garnish with peach slice.
