Jazz Up Your Party Playlist

In celebration of International Jazz Day coming up on May 29, here is a great list of jazz songs for you to add to your party playlist. Jazz music works for almost every occasion. It is formal enough for a wedding, upbeat enough for dancing, or can be enjoyed as background music at a family cookout. Here are some of my favorite picks:

  • “So What” – Miles Davis
  • “Take Five” – Dave Brubeck
  • “St. Thomas” – Sonny Rollins
  • “Desafinado” – Stan Getz
  • “St. Louis Blues” – Herbie Mann
  • “Route 66” – Nat King Cole
  • “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” – Ella Fitzgerald
  • “String of Pearls” – Glen Miller
  • “Swing Swing Swing” – Benny Goodman
  • “Black and Blue” – Louis Armstrong
  • “Riff (Otto make That)” – Duke Ellington
  • “A Night in Tunisia” – Dizzy Gillespie

Hope you enjoy them!

Enjoy planning.
