How to make a holiday trifle:
Ingredients and equipment:
- Three 8-9 inch white cakes
- A large trifle bowl (or a large glass bowl)

- 1 pint fresh blueberries
- 2 bananas
- 3 kiwis
- 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
- 1/4 cup blanched, slivered almonds or pecans
- 12 maraschino cherries
Slice your strawberries, bananas, and kiwis into thin slices for easy layering. Cut the white cake into 1-2 inch cubes (angel food or pound cakes work well).
