Football-Inspired Appetizers from Hillshire Farm

Hillshire Farm has partnered with Punchbowl to bring you a fun new line of appetizers called Party Animals that let the food do the decorating for you. For upcoming Super Bowl parties, try two of our favorites: Quarter Pup and Pigskin. This football-inspired combination will give your buffet table a sporty look! 

Quarter Pup

Ingredients:

• 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies^®
• 1 jar of large pimiento-stuffed olives
• Mustard

Directions:

1.     Heat the Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies^® according to package directions.

2.     At a slight angle, cut 1/3 off the base of your olives to form the helmet.

3.     To place the helmet, slice vertically through the back of the olive and place over the top of Quarter Pup.

4.     Pipe on mustard to form the mouth guard and finish by placing two mustard dots for the eyes.

Pigskin

Ingredients:

• 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies^®
• 1 pkg. cheese slices
• Mustard
• Piping bag and fine tip nozzle

Directions:

1.     Heat Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies^® according to package directions.

2.     Slice cheese into 1/8 inch wide strips.

3.     Wrap cheese slices around the dog 1/2 inch from either end (zone).

4.     Lace up your little Pigskins by piping in mustard lines.
