Easter Recipes for Kids

There are many delicious and fun Easter recipes that you can make with your kids to celebrate the holiday. Each of the Easter recipes for kids listed below can be made with a minimum amount of parental supervision. Making them together will be a fun family activity that both of you will enjoy!
Easter Nest Cupcakes
  •  1 dozen cupcakes
  •  Chocolate frosting
  •  Pastry bag decorating kit
  •  Candy eggs, flowers, and chicks
For this kids Easter recipe, first bake a dozen cupcakes following the package on the box. If your kids are old enough, they can help in the mixing and baking process. Once the cupcakes have cooled, fill a pastry bag with the chocolate frosting. Use a multi-opening tip to create a grass-like design on top of each cupcake. Ask the kids to decorate each "nest" with small candy eggs, chicks, and flowers!
Chocolate Easter Nests:
  •  8 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
  •  2 cups chow mein noodles
  •  1 bag jellybeans
This is a great Easter recipe for kids! First, line a baking pan with a piece of aluminum foil, then spray it with nonstick vegetable spray. Melt the chocolate chips in your microwave for two to three minutes or until smooth. Then, pour the chow mein noodles into the bowl of chocolate. Carefully mix them so that you do not break the noodles. Next, have your child spoon six mounds of the mix onto the greased pan. Make a small indentation in the center of each mound using your fingers. Help your child carefully form the mounds into a nest shape. Place them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Prior to serving, place a few small jelly beans in the center of each nest.
Chocolate Bunny Cookies
  •  1 package fudge brownie mix
  •  1 egg
  •  ¼ cup water
  •  ¼ cup vegetable oil
  •  1 1/3 pecans (cut in half)
  •  Chocolate frosting
  •  Vanilla chocolate chips
Pour the brownie mix, egg, water, and oil in a large bowl. Have your child help out with the stirring to make sure that it is well mixed. Then, spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Help your kids drop a spoonful of the mixture onto the baking sheet about two inches apart. Place 2 pecan halves flat side up on each cookie for the bunny ears. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Wait for the cookies to cool completely. Then, help your kids spread the frosting on each cookie. Place two vanilla chocolate chips upside down for the eyes and one for the bunny nose. Use a toothpick to dot each eye with chocolate frosting.
