5 Tips for Planning a Childs Birthday Party
Aside from choosing a birthday party theme and buying decorations and party supplies, there are some general guidelines to follow when planning your child's birthday party. You probably know these already but it can't hurt to remind you:
1) When deciding how many children to invite, usually your child’s age plus one or two is a good number of guests to invite. For example, if your child is turning 8 years old, invite 9 or 10 guests to the party.
2) Be prepared in case something goes wrong. Have back up activities for the kids to do in case something doesn’t work out that way you had hoped it would.
3) Play games where no one is a loser and everyone gets a prize for participating. This will ensure that everyone is always having fun!
4) Party favors don’t have to be store bought. They can be as simple as baked cookies or a take home craft activity that the children did during the party.
5) Depending on the age of your child, make sure there is at least one other adult at the party to help you with supervision. If you don’t expect any parents to stay, ask a relative, neighbor, or babysitter if they would be willing to help you out for the day.
Enjoy Planning.
