Wolf Day
Today is Wolf Day! This day brings attention to the plight of wolves and demands that the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service keep gray wolves on the endangered species list. Predators such as wolves, sharks, and bears are vital to keeping ecosystems in a healthy balance.
Gray wolves first received an endangered species status in 1972. Their population still has not recovered, which is why a recent move to remove the endangered species label is of great concern.
