International Daughter's Day
Today is a beautiful day to celebrate and appreciate your daughter! International Daughter's Day, celebrated annually on the 4th Sunday of September, is a special day to recognize the joy and wonder that a daughter can bring to your life and set aside time to celebrate her. In some patriarchal cultures, male children have been traditionally seen as more valued than females. Daughter's Day was established in India to promote equality and remove some of the stigma associated with having a Daughter by celebrating female children. Today, International Daughter's Day is celebrated around the world.
Take part in this tradition by spending some time today with your wonderful daughter or daughter-in-law. Go to lunch, hit the mall, plan a spa day, or send a digital greeting card!
