National Family Caregivers Month
November is National Family Caregivers Month! This month is the perfect time to honor and acknowledge family caregivers in your community. This holiday serves to raise awareness of issues caregivers face, educate communities, and offer support to the various types of caregivers.
There are over 53 million Americans acting as caregivers to family, neighbors, friends, and beyond. Half of these family caregivers are over age 50. It is so important to offer our support to these vital caregivers, who may be facing physical or mental health issues of their own.
Reach out to a caregiver in your life this month. Drop off a homemade meal, catch up over a phone call, or send a free greeting card to show you care.
