National Fajita Day

It's National Fajita Day! Today, we celebrate this popular Mexican-inspired dish – a sizzling staple at Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants around the world.

While fajitas have a lot in common with the beloved taco, another popular Mexican cuisine item, fajitas are characterized by grilled meat that is served alongside tortillas and various toppings. It is believed that the original fajitas recipe originated in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. The delicious dish was originally made with skirt steak, however, shrimp, chicken, and veggie varieties are now commonplace.

To celebrate National Fajita Day, visit your local Mexican restaurant or try your hand at making fajitas at home. Happy National Fajita Day!
