National Winnie the Pooh Day

Today is National Winnie the Pooh Day! Today we celebrate everyone’s favorite, lovable bear. Winnie is more than just your average bear — he’s one of Disney’s most popular characters of all time! We adore him for his caring attitude and his adventurous ways. The first story mentioning Winnie the Pooh appeared in a London newspaper called The Evening News on Christmas Eve in 1925. Since then, Pooh bear has appeared in many book series, a popular TV series, and numerous film adaptations.

Winnie the Pooh is a warm friend to all animals dwelling in the Hundred Acre Wood, including Piglet, Eeyore, and Kanga, though his closest confidant is Christopher Robin. Did you know that Christopher Robin was the real name of A.A. Milne’s son? A.A. Milne was the original author of the Winnie the Pooh series!

To celebrate this beloved character’s birthday, watch an episode of Winnie the Pooh, and enjoy some sweet “hunny” while you watch. You can also celebrate by sending one of our free Winnie the Pooh online invitations for an upcoming party!
