Today's Reason to Celebrate

Yom Kippur

Tonight marks the beginning of Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement. It is considered the holiest day on the Jewish calendar and is traditionally observed with fasting and prayer.

Yom Kippur begins at sundown this evening and will conclude at nightfall tomorrow, with much of the day usually spent in synagogue services.

Typically, a joyful break-fast follows the day-long fast and prayer on Yom Kippur. It is the first meal after this 25-hour fast where friends and family come together to break bread. It is for this reason that it is traditional to wish friends and family an easy fast. Reach out to friends & family with a free ecard.
