Today is International Bacon Day! Today's tasty holiday is the perfect reason to enjoy this delicious breakfast food. Whether you opt for a BLT, bacon-wrapped asparagus, or a simple side of bacon – you can't go wrong!

Bacon is a cured, smoked pork and has been around for centuries. The method of preserving pork began in China around 1500 B.C., with the Greeks and Romans continuing the tradition. Modern-day bacon was first packaged and patented by Oscar Mayer in 1924.

Celebrate all things bacon today by having it as a part of your breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Share your favorite bacon recipe with a friend!
