The "MUSIC BOX" has provided exceptional services throughout Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri since 1973. I am a skilled dj and musician with knowledge of music from the 1920's through the most current Top-40 Pop, Contemporary, Rock, R-n-B, Jazz, Big Band, Country and Country Rock, Latino, and club dance music in this area; and of course I use the most progressive sound system(s) and signal processing equipment. My sound systems are capable of encompassing the largest facilities to be found in the area to the smallest garden party. A very large selection of music is available for you to plan your dream reception and/or party, for any occasion! And I will take requests at your event if you so desire! All of the music are on CD's! None of the downloaded selections from the web sites which provide compressed music and lacking the fidelity of the original recording. Lighting is also available with many of the effects controlled by the sound of the music. Not the 'cheesiness' of ordinary lighting most djs have but lighting used by professional venues. Also provided are inquiry questionnaires asking for your input as to music desired for your event which will provide information to assist providing the atmosphere desired for your event. I am a "Life' member of the Federation of Musicians, a professional percussionist, provider of sound reinforcement equipment and services for public speakers, local and traveling entertainers and musicians. I've also provided services for many nationally know politicians, public speakers, and recording bands I've also have been acknowledged as one of the most talented DJs, sound reinforcement equipmnet provider and front-of-house sound mixer for bands in this area.

I charge a flat rate with lighting package & event set up and breakdown included! Affordable Professional DJ Service carries liability insurance & is a Member of the Association of Professional Entertainers. My average price receptions are around $400 unless I have a special. This is a flat rate not an hourly rate. I can work with your budget as well. I charge a non-refundable booking fee of $50 to reserve your day. I travel to Manhattan, Emporia, Leavenworth, Lawrence, Atchison, and Johnson County free of charge I charge a $50 travel fee for events past 55 miles and $100 for events past 100 miles. I have a wide range of music that can suit the needs of you and your guests. I have music from the 50's sock hop to 2010's teen pop from Abba to ZZ top.
