" The Ron Smolen Big Band / Orchestra " is a 10 piece dance orchestra that provides the best Big Band entertainment and dance music available. Every night is New Years Eve as "The Ron Smolen Orchestra" creates a party atmosphere along with a “Touch of Elegance“ by providing listening and dancing enjoyment for all ages in the great tradition of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Wayne King and Guy Lombardo. Over the past 40 years, " The Ron Smolen Orchestra " has performed thousands of engagements including weddings, concerts, dinner dances, and corporate events throughout Chicago and the Midwest. Every Ron Smolen Orchestra engagement includes waltzes, Latin styles, society numbers, jazz, Dixieland, pop and show tunes. Their inimitable style, is seasoned via their own brand of custom arrangements, and their vast library of original big band era arrangements featuring classic tunes of the Big Band era and popular pieces from the great American song writers. Vocals provided by Ron Smolen and members of the orchestra round out the orchestra's performances to present a total big band experience.

The Mike LaBroi Band is a Jazz ensembel. We can provide Jazz music of all types ( Standards, Swing, Blues and easy listening R&B) We can perform as a trio, or quartet. We can also provide a fantastic female vocalist. We can make your next event an affair to remember.

Our most popular package is the ten-piece band, which includes drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, male & female vocalists, and our four-piece horn section. Larger packages are available for more extravagant affairs and for the more intimate engagements, we have smaller packages as well.
