Tru-Vybz Dj’s Inc. originated in Brooklyn, New York (the melting pot capital) in 2000. From New York they decided to move to Atlanta in 2005; the city where the party never stops. It was only a matter of time before they began making their mark in Atlanta by playing at some of the major Caribbean clubs in Atlanta such as Club 426 in Stone Mountain, and Jenean’s in Buckhead, to name a few. Their talent stems from the diversity in their background being raised in Brooklyn and having an island influence. Tru-Vybz Dj’s Inc. has also catered to weddings, birthday parties, and even school events such as Casino Night at Georgia Perimeter College. Tino Mills AKA DJ AKIR, has been performing at different events, parties, clubs, weddings, private parties, business parties, etc. for over 6 years. DJ. AKIR, aka Tino Mills, a Pittsburgh, PA. Native, raised in Atlanta, GA. has been loving music since he was 8 years old.In high school, young Tino continued to play the very same instruments in the band and in music concerts. Although Tino was able to play instruments well, he wanted to learn more, so he learned how to read and write the music he was playing in high school along with other songs from his older brother, Kelvin Jones- a famous song writer and producer, who was not only a backup singer for Patti Labelle, and Kenny Loggins, but a trumpet player for Earth, Wind, and Fire as well. After many years of practicing, playing, reading, and writing music, Tino wanted to do this professionally. He began making beats, writing songs, and working on the turntables.Making money off his craft gave him another idea: become a DJ, so that’s exactly what he did. Being under the wings of DJ LOGIC- who has over 15 years of experience, and being a part of the “Super Friends”, Tino aka DJ. AKIR was now ready to take off into a new direction. Now years later, you can see DJ AKIR perform mixing over 5,000 different songs like r&b, hip-hop, old school, reggae, dance hall, rap, electrohouse,performing at over 100 different special events like: Weddings, Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Proms, Business parties, clubs like the comedy corner, and Sports Line.
