Entertaining and Educational Birthday Party Programs! At Sugar Sand Park Community Center, we want to make your child’s birthday memorable and uncomplicated. So, we have done our best to make the process as simple as possible. Step 1: Start by downloading a reservation form at www.sugarsandpark.org or pick up an order form at the front desk. Step 2: Fill out the form by selecting the program that best suits your child’s interest and age. Then please list your preferred date that you would like to have your party. Tell us how many people (up to 20) will be participating in the program. Step 3: Email your order form to our Guest Services Coordinator at SugarSandBirthday@myboca.us or drop it off at the Community Center front desk. Step 4: Our Guest Services Coordinator will contact you to schedule the program, take payment, and book the room. Step 5: Enjoy your Birthday Party Program! Other important things to know: All parties will include the selected program and an additional 45 minutes of celebration time as well as a t-shirt for the Birthday Child. Sugar Sand Park Community Center will provide tables and chairs for up to 20 participants and up to 10 adults (20 adults in Kindermusik). Decorations, cakes, tableware, etc. are not supplied so don’t forget your child’s favorite theme or color! Because we schedule multiple parties during the day, start and end times are firm. After cake enjoy the Park! After your party is finished up inside, take advantage of the great amenities that Sugar Sand Park offers outside. Enjoy a ride on the carousel for $1 per person. Kids can bring their bathing suits (weather permitting) and enjoy the water feature inside our three-story science playground! The following programs are offered on Saturdays or Sundays at 10am or 2pm. The Children’s Science Explorium Birthday Gack Attack!...5-7 Years Intrigued by messy fun and crazy concoctions? Let’s throw on lab coats, goofy goggles and experiment with slimy science, chemical reactions and more! Party goers will make and take their own gooey gack home! (1 Hour Program) Up to 10 Participants: Residents: $120.00; Non-Residents $150.00 Each additional Participant up to 20: Residents: $5.00 each; Non-Residents: $6.25 each Magical Birthday Celebration…8-10 Years Celebrate a birthday with the magic of science! Party goers will surprise the birthday boy/girl with secret messages and create a magic box for a disappearing act! (1 Hour Program) Up to 10 Participants: Residents: $120.00; Non-Residents $150.00 Each additional Participant up to 20: Residents: $5.00 each; Non-Residents:$6.25 each Kindermusik with Ms. Cathy...1-5 Years Come shake, rattle, n' roll with our highly interactive, musical birthday parties! Everyone attending your special event will remember what fun they had for years to come! Unique musical instruments, ribbon twirls, hats, beach balls, hand clappers, lei necklaces, puppets and much more, can all be part of the fun! Freeze dancing, parades, the limbo, the bunny hop, and parachute fun will help you and your guests bop until you drop! (45 Minute Program) Up to 20 Participants: Residents: $335.00; Non-Residents $418.75 Director’s Cut Film Making Stop Motion Animation….7-12 Years At the Director’s Cut, what you think is what you get! In this one of a kind workshop, clay is the main ingredient for fun! Construct your own characters and scenes and then using our stop motion technology and cutting edge video cameras, laptops, expert instruction, and your imagination, your guests will bring things to life in their very own Hollywood blockbuster stop motion film! Don’t forget to add sound effects, voice-overs, special effects, transitions, and titles to make your film a shoo-in for an Academy Award! Each participant will receive their own chaptered DVD. Shazam! Pow! Only a few choice words used by your favorite superhero as they criss-cross around the world to battle evil and save us from….well anything you can imagine! At the Director’s Cut, your guests become the author, digital illustrator, digital photographer and creator in this all star workshop using our digital cameras, laptop computers, expert superhero instruction (please note our instructors are only superheroes on weekends and after 9),and your imagination, you along with your cast of side-kicks will create the idea, take digital pictures, edit them and then comicfy yourselves, creating a one of a kind, digital comic book that may make Stan Lee get a little nervous! Not into super heroes, then try… anything you want….. it’s your imagination after all!
