About the time we moved to Livermore, I started working with and creating new and very tasteful recipes that we have shared with our family, friends and neighbors. In November of 2008, I had the opportunity to work with a caterer in Chico "The Italian Guy Catering" and gained experience working large parties and weddings. I found that my passion for cooking and the activities involved in coordinating these events were fun for everyone and a natural fit. My 20 years of project management experience in the extremely fast paced manufacturing environment of the Silicon Valley, in addition to Sebby's 10 plus years experience in the hospitality industry provided us with the knowledge needed to orchestrate your event. He spent months researching small businesses at all the local libraries and sought out advice from his friends at the Lafayette Chambers of Commerce. Encouraged by Martinez City Officials and Companies all over Contra Costa, he started molding Small Thyme Catering into the success it is today. In 2004 he joined forces with Barbara Perry, who had 30 years experience in the Hotel, Restaurant Management and Catering Field. Together they created Small Thyme Café & Catering Inc., which is located on Piedmont Ave. In Oakland Ca. Still servicing the Contra Costa area, Small Thyme Café & Catering has been able to include a much larger geographic. From Stinson Beach to Half Moon Bay and all the cities in between. We now have a impeccable staff, from Cordon Bleu certified chefs to talented and qualified servers & bar staff. Together as a team will make your event the dazzling success of your dreams.
