Dragonfly DuLou was the brain child of former hair stylist Lana Chirco-Baltz and actor Kirk Baltz. As new parents, they were searching all over town for a place that supported a community of families. They were looking for a spot cool enough to hang out at run by people who understood parenting who also had an impeccable taste in fashion and an inspiring sense of humor. They dreamed of a place that nurtured children's creativity and welcomed parents' participation. When they found nothing, the couple toyed with the idea of starting a lifestyle boutique and club that catered to the full spectrum of parenting needs. They were convinced there were other parents like them. They were right. On Halloween 2004, Dragonfly DuLou opened its doors to serve Los Angeles families. Since then, Dragonfly DuLou has come to be known as a funky, one-of-a-kind treasure that so artfully reflects the tastes and cultures of a new generation of parents across Los Angeles.

reDiscover is a community art center, reuse warehouse, gallery and event space. We promote creativity while encouraging environmental responsibility. reDiscover recycles everyday discards donated by business and gives them new purpose as hands-on learning materials. Our "Cast Off, Blast Off" birthday party is great for children ages 3-8 years old. It costs $350 for up to 12 children, each additional child is $10. This party invites participants to re-imagine industry cast-offs from the reDiscover ware house into cool crafty creations. 3…2…1… imagination blast off! Participants can pick a project: - Rockets - Robots - Nests/Habitats - Animals - Magic - Princess - Pirates - Printing Our "Break It, Make It" party is for children ages 9 and older. It costs $350 for up to 10 children, each additional child is $10. This party invites participants to take apart and transform unwanted treasures into something sensational. Clean out those closets! Note: materials are provided by reDiscover Center and supplemented by participants.
