Let us celebrate the festival of lights with a grand AMKA Diwali celebration on Saturday, October 29th.
Highlights Of The Evening
Diwali Mela in the Field house of The Community House from 3.30p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a variety of stalls in the Mela. Enjoy the different carnival games and Diwali related craft activity. Savor chatpata Chaat, Chai and other eats from 3.30-5.30 p.m. Contribute to the food pantry collection drive and help make blankets to donate. Browse the various booths from small businesses and other advertisers. Children are welcome to sport their Halloween outfit for the costume parade to be held at 5 p.m. To cherish the memories of this Diwali Mela we will have a photo station for free family portraits.

Diwali dinner (8-9.30p.m.)
DJ NAVEED will rock the dance floor with Dhamakedar music till 11 p.m.
Event Fees
Individuals above 12 years (with paid annual family dues):$15.00
Children 6-12 years: $8.00
Children below age 5 and parents of members who are visiting: Free.
Non-members or those who have not paid annual dues: $25 per person above age 12.
Non- member Children from age 6 to 12:$10.00
Non- member children below 5:Free
Action Items for you to Consider
Charity drive: We are looking to collect canned or dry food items such as rice, peanut butter, jam, dry pasta, pasta sauce, cookie mix, pancake mix etc. or personal care items - toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, razors, tissue boxes, paper towels etc. to be donated on behalf of AMKA to a food pantry during the holiday season. Volunteer: If you or your teenagers would like to volunteer at the charity booths or any other stations please email Parijat Pai: sspai@hotmail.com
Costume parade: Have your children come in their Halloween or other costumes. A costume parade will be held at 5.00 p.m.Please contact Shubhada Lawande for any information: slawande@yahoo.com
