Non-Alcoholic Thanksgiving Drink Recipes

As you're planning your Thanksgiving dinner, you may find that the meal is easier to plan than the drinks. Wine and beer are staples for this meal, but what about beverages for your guests who don’t drink alcoholic drinks and the kids?

For non-alcoholic Thanksgiving drinks, check out these suggestions:

Apple Cider

This drink is perfect for apple season and will pair beautifully with your Thanksgiving meal. Still or sparkling apple cider will be available at almost any grocery store. Just be sure to pick up a jug before the supply runs out! Another idea is to offer cups of hot cinnamon apple cider to accompany dessert. To make these non-alcoholic drinks for Thanksgiving, simply heat up some non-sparkling apple cider on the stove. Then pop a cinnamon stick into each guest’s mug and pour the hot cider over it.

Cranberry Fizz Punch

Cranberries are classic Thanksgiving fruits. They pair well with turkey and will complement any Thanksgiving meal. This recipe for Cranberry Fizz Punch is a nice drink to have with your meal, as it’s both tasty and refreshing!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
  • 1 bottle of lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite, chilled
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced

Directions:

Just before serving, mix the cranberry juice cocktail and soda in a large pitcher. Add sliced lemon and lime. Makes 6 drinks.

Mexican Hot Chocolate

Mexican Hot Chocolate is a great way to warm up on a November night. It has a deep and rich flavor and can even be served as a dessert for those guests who have no room for pie but want something sweet to end the meal with.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of hot chocolate mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • 1 cup of milk (Use whole milk for a creamier texture and taste)

Directions:

In a small saucepan over low to medium heat, combine your milk and hot chocolate mix until the mixture is smooth and hot enough to serve. Remove the saucepan from the burner and whisk in the ground cinnamon and the chili powder. The end result will be a creamy, rich, and deeply-spiced (but not spicy) cup of hot chocolate!

With these Thanksgiving non alcoholic drink recipes, you'll be sure to please all of your guests. Happy Thanksgiving!
