How to Create a Delicious Christmas Tree Centerpiece

Looking for a way to make a lasting impression this holiday season? Our friends at Hillshire Farm really know how to serve up something special for the holidays, as they’ve created a delicious holiday appetizer that doubles as a table centerpiece!

Here’s how you can create a delicious and beautiful Lit'l Smokies® Christmas tree that will look almost too good to eat. Almost.

Ingredients

• 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies®
• 1 Styrofoam cone
• Aluminum foil
• Toothpicks
• Pineapple
• Star-shaped cookie cutter
• Rosemary and parsley for garnish

Directions:

1. Heat the Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies® according to package directions. Let them cool.

2. Wrap the Styrofoam cone in aluminum foil.

3. Starting about an inch from the bottom of the cone, insert a toothpick at a downward angle. Place each of the Lit’l Smokies® on a toothpick. Repeat this process around the bottom of the cone until there is a complete row of Lit’l Smokies®. 

4. Place rosemary and parsley on top of the bottom row of Lit’l Smokies®.  Insert your next layer of toothpicks and Lit’l Smokies®, alternating with rows of garnish until you reach the top of the cone.

5. Cut the pineapple into large pieces and press a star-shaped cookie cutter into one of the pieces. Insert a toothpick into the star-shaped piece and place it on top of your cone.
