Host a Super Bowl Potluck Party

Just because the Super Bowl game is full of exciting and unexpected ups and downs, doesn't mean tht planning your party has to be that way too. A fun but fuss-free way to host a Super Bowl party is to make it a potluck! You've already opened your home as the destination to watch the game, so why not leave some of the cooking up to your guests.

Take advantage of the easy-to-use potluck feature on Punchbowl to organize your potluck. Before you send invitations, create your potluck list. You can specify how many items you need in each food category (drinks, sides, appetizers, etc.) so you don't end up with ten desserts and no appetizers. You can also request that certain guests bring certain dishes - that way your neighbor will be sure to bring that famous turkey chili that everyone loves!

You might want to consider giving guests some direction on what to bring instead of leaving it completely up to them. For example, if you're thinking that you want a Mexican-inspired party, inform guests that chips, salsa, bean dip, and other favorites top your list. For a Super Bowl party, maybe you just want finger foods that are easier to eat on the go, infront of the tv? Make that clear on your potlucl list as well.

Either way, when you create a potluck list it takes some of the pressure off you and gives everyone a taste of something new to enjoy at the party!
