Since this is a busy time of year, it’s a great idea to establish the party as an Open House tree trimming party where guests can come and go as they please.

• Pre-sort ornaments to create a selection that you would like to have on your tree.

• Make sure ornaments are well organized and dispersed throughout the room for easy access.

• Stand the tree up and add lights before guests arrive.

• Arrange an assortment of drinks and appetizers for guests to munch on while they are working.

• Create a play list of Christmas carols to set the tone for the evening.

• Take lots of photographs of family and friends decorating the tree. Make sure you get one group photo of everyone standing next to the completed tree. Your family will love seeing memories of this special tradition.
