Dress Up Your Holiday Party with Lit'l Smokies® Recipes
Let’s face it — appetizers are often guests’ favorite part of a holiday meal. As you plan your holiday menu, we want to share a couple of recipes from our friends at Hillshire Farm. Their Lit’l Smokies® are perfect for any party big or small and always a crowd favorite!
Bacon wrapped Lit’l Smokies® featuring Wright® Brand Bacon and Lit’l Smokies® Fancy Pigs in a Blanket are a must-have for any holiday party.
Bacon Wrapped Lit’l Smokies® Featuring Wright® Brand Bacon
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies®
- 1 pkg. Wright® Brand Hickory Smoked Bacon
- Toothpicks
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Open the package of Lit’l Smokies® and drain off any liquid
- Cut each bacon slice into 3 pieces. Wrap each sausage with a piece of bacon; secure with a toothpick
- Place on a 15x10x1-inch baking pan and bake 15–20 minutes, or until bacon is browned.
Lit’l Smokies® Fancy Pigs in a Blanket
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies®
- 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard plus extra for dipping if desired
- ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Open package of Lit’l Smokies® and drain off any liquid; set aside.
- Separate crescent rolls from both cans into 8 rectangles total; firmly press perforations to seal. Cut each rectangle into 6 squares.
- Spread a small amount of mustard in center of each square. Place approximately ½ teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of mustard. Place a sausage on top of cranberry sauce; bring up 2 opposite corners of dough over sausage and pinch to seal.
- Place wrapped Lit’l Smokies® on a baking sheet. Bake 12–15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with additional Dijon mustard if desired.
