Decorating for Your Disco Party

Disco has always been a favorite party theme of mine. Since I was just a kid during the 70s, I never got to fully experience the disco era. It's fun to head back a few decades and host a disco-themed party.

Decorating for disco can be a lot of fun. First and foremost hang up a few disco balls and multi-colored lightbulbs. The multi-colored lights reflecting off the disco balls will instantly give your party that groovy disco feel.

Next up, lava lamps! One of the funky trends from the 70s, you can still find these lamps around the web. You may even know a teenager that you can borrow one from.

Another way to create that 70s feel is to hang beads in your doorways so guests have to walk through them. Probably skip entryways where doors will be opening and closing though as the beads will just get in the way.

As for party favors, hand out mood rings and glow necklaces when guests arrive. They can have fun with those favors throughout the party!

One of the most important aspects of a disco party is the music so we'll have more on that coming soon!

Enjoy Planning.
